Here he is in his element! It’s hard to believe that he’ll be eight months old tomorrow. He is doing so well (mostly). He is a typical flatcoat – happy, outgoing, loving and devilishly handsome. His recall is now pretty consistent . This morning, on the one occasion I used the whistle, he came back to me so fast that he had no chance of stopping. Body working a lot faster than brain. I was hit by 32kgs of flatcoat at what felt like 20mph. He managed to break the stick I was carrying, one of my favourites, and almost felled me. That’s typical flatcoat enthusiasm. Bertie was completely unfazed by the collision and just thought it huge fun.
